Addon/Parked domains - not working

The reseller account has unlimited addon/parked domains assigned to it. When I edit a package, set it to a value and then assign a customer to it, it will not allow them to add domains and returns this error:

Sorry, you are not allowed to add any more than (0) addon domains! The domain below was not setup!

After looking closely, when editing the package, it says that its setting the addon domains from a blank value to a blank value (there is just a blank-space in the log)

Any ideas why?

edit the file /var/cpanel/users/username and set the following values to 999

MAXPARK=999
MAXADDON=999
