Agora Shopping Cart Updates Available

Howdy all,

I just completed an updated installer for the AgoraCart (aka agoracgi or agora). It is for the AgoraCart 4.0K-4b version which has many security features implemented, as well as many extra store admin features over the old 4.0 version from over two years ago... Including a simple options file cretor/editor, basic header/footer manager, updated payment gateways, new gatways added, and increased controls over layouts and other items inthe sotrefront.

I also updated index.html, killcart.html, and installacart.html files for the following cpanel themes:

X
X2
BlueLagoon
Iconic
Monsoon
Vertex

(xcontroller might be file just updating the installer)

The killcart and installacart html files don't need to be updated for themes that already have a killcart.html file in their respective
/usr/local/cpanel/base/frontend/themename/acart/
server directories.

I will try to keep this installer up to date inthe future until Cpanel has time to update it in the core files.

This new version will also cut down on tech support requests, security concerns, and make fer a better shopping cart option than previously available.

I have a client using AgoraCart 4.0 and he's getting this 403 forbidden error when trying to browse his shopping cart pages back and forth:

Do you have a fix for this?

How do I upgrade this customer's Agora Cart to the latest version? Just extract the agora.tar.gz to the cart directory?

I have a customer who has autoinstalled this via the agora autoinstaller in cpanel. Now when they try to access agora.cgi they get a message attempting to download the file instead of running it.

Permissions appear to be ok and I assume that since this is autoinstalled it should run just fine. I am not sure why the browser is attempting to download the cgi files rather than executing them.

looks like most of your autoinstaller functions are not working. I've installed it in several servers, and haven't seen any issues.

Also 8.8.0 R73 I noticed had the updated agoracart in the release. so it appears teh latest edge and release versions may have the newer cart already... over using the updated tarball I provided.

so I think in yer case something is amuck in yer configs and not sure how to help ya there as I have not encountered this issue personally

Hi there,

Thanks for the info. I can execute .cgi scripts just fine on all accounts except for one. On that one account I can execute .cgi scripts too but with the exception of Agora which was autoinstalled with cpanel version E73. If I run that installation from the command line in SSH it will run just fine, however from a browser it prompts me to download the .cgi file. Very strange. For some reason, something is missing or off with this one installation.

Anyway, no problem. It's only one account and I'm sure I'll find a way to fix it sooner or later.

how are you generating the error? I have never seen that before nor can i duplicate it.

When browsing thru the cart, the customer cannot see some images.

may have an incorrect perm on the picserve.cgi file.

it will need chmod 755 done, but in the users ID.

Did this ever get updated in cpanel? A customer was having an issue with agora today and all the files seem to have info related to 2001.
