Default All files&dirs are visible ?!

Today when i login to FTP (any account on my server) all files and directories which should be invisible from FTP are visible

e.g. --> .neomail, .spamassassin, .sqmaildata, .contactemail, .cpanel-ducache, .lastlogin etc.

Not that its a huge problem but FTP accounts looks so messy right now - may confuse my customers.

Anyone knows how to fix this ? Thanks in advance.

On my ftp program that's an option whether or not I want it to show dot files.

I'm not sure if there is a server setting for that.

Thank you for your reply but i'm sure it doesn't have to do with my ftp client.
It should be server-side as i havent changed anything with my ftp client.

It is definitely an FTP client issue, as all the FTP server daemons I've tried do not filter out dot files by default. Many do have switched to do this, though. It would certainly be trivial to do with proftpd with a little work on the documentation page.
