Antivirus program

My server has been compromised and I found a user named deadcow has been added and a software called PTlink has been installed.

Is there a good antivirus program for Redhat available like Norton antivirus for Windows? I need an antivirus program to run regularly and to scan all of the server for viruses etc.

Hi,

Have you try installing Mail Scanner & ClamAV ?
I just install onto our dedicated server and it's getting lots of email with virus!

If you need any help, I can guide you on how to install it.
I have help a few host master to install via MSN chat or ICQ and it takes about 20 minutes

Anti-virus software would not help with this as it is not a virus. You really need to look into the following:

1. Enable suEXEC
2. Enable phpsuexec
3. Install an IDS system: Tripwire, chkrootkit, rkhunter
4. Install a firewall and configure it for in and outbound port blocking, e.g. APF
