    I am just trying to find what version cpanel currently uses for sendmail.

    cPanel uses Exim, and not sendmail. /usr/sbin/exim -bV will show the version.

    Further, on a cPanel system, /usr/sbin/sendmail is merely a wrapper for Exim.
