Default apache : getpeername: Socket operation on non-socket

Juz came across a new error :-)

when restarting apache, it says httpd could not be started. error log is updated with only the following three lines.

    getpeername: Socket operation on non-socket
    getsockname: Socket operation on non-socket
    Error getting local address

Finally, I got the problem - it was due to Servertype inetd in the conf file. Changing that to standalone fixed it.

    cheers

    Dear Jemshi,

Thanks for the information. I had the same error and fixed it by changing to standalone.

    Regards,
