Default Apache problems, first freeze, then lot's of processes

    Hi,

i have got an strange problem.

My apache has sometimes a freeze, and after that freeze, there is an massive increase in httpd clients/apache processes.

How can i stop this, because it makes the load of the server increase a lot.

This is not a strange problem. High server load is very common problem with Web servers and have been discussed many times. Search these forums, or seek help for your Data Center, or you can seek professional help.
