    Default Apache Solr

    Hi,

I run a dedicated webserver with Cpanel/WHM. I have about 10 accounts on it which are mostly Drupal based websites.

I would like to run Apache Solr on my server to serve the Drupal's Apache Solr module requests.

In a best world scenario, I suspect that running Apache Solr on a dedicated server by itself would be ideal.

However, I would like to know the following:

    A) Is it a good idea to run Apache Solr on Centos 5 which has cpanel/whm, and a few web host accounts.

    B) Is this supported by WHM?

    C) Is anybody here in the community running Apache Solr? If so, what are your practices and experiences?

    Regards

cPanel/WHM does not have native support for Apache Solr at this time.
