Apache and SSH dying routinely

Running RH8.0 and Cpanel 6.2...

Apache and SSH have developed a tendency to die rather routinely. Looking through the error log for apache, nothing appears to be going on. Usually the last error is a file not found error and then there is no activity until the machine is rebooted and everything appears to come up relatively normally.

Any suggestions on where to look? Since SSH conveniently dies at the same time, it's hard to check the status of the machine. Other services, like mail, cron, etc. continue to run.

Recently ran into an issue with cpanellogd going bonkers and killing things randomly. After I killed (a.k.a. moved it so CPanel couldn't find it), the problem went away. Apache seemed to be the only thing affected by it though....never ran into SSH problems.

You might check the load on your server at the time it happened (run 'sar') and see if that can't tell you anything.
