APF and BFD Install

Hello all,

I am thinking of installing APF and BFD. Now, for the past couple months I have been manually adding IP's iptables to block them from entering my servers. When I install APF and BFD, am I going to lose those rules?

Or better yet, during APF's install it leaves itself in debug mode, flushing the rules every 5 minutes, will this flush my current rules?

Anyone have experience in installing APF and BFD on a system that already has rules on it?

For anybody interested, I found a great howto for installing APF:

Also, for the existing ip deny list it was simple. Just add your list of IPs (one per line) to deny_hosts.rules after installing APF.
