Hi,

I'm also experiencing this error on 1 server. We use identical conf.apf on several servers and it only effects this server. Not really sure why, but exaclty as mentioned above. Insight would be appreciated.

I've been seeing this more and more with the latest release of APF which clearly has quite a major bug in it. I'd suggest that you take it up with rfxnetworks and see if they can fix their script, or look for alternatives, such as KissMyFirewall among others.
