    Default Apop

Does anyone know anything about APOP? I would like to know whether it is standard on cPanel or whether it's something that has to be configured. If it is not standard, could someone point me to a good howto?

Nevermind. After a little research, I have come to the conclusion that APOP is not secure, as it stores users' mail passwords on the server in a clear text file. Unlike pop, it does not transfer the passwords over the internet in clear text, but there are still security issues.

Apparently, it is better to use POP over SSL, so that is what I will do.
