mod_mono is designed only for asp.net webpages, classic asp pages (pages with .asp) will not serve properly under mod_mono.

mod_mono handles ASP.NET (.aspx files). It does not handle classic ASP (.asp files). Classic ASP is no longer supported by modules that are natively supported by cPanel/WHM.

Depending upon the complexity of the application, some Classic ASP applications can be served by ASP.NET application servers, such as Mod Mono, with a few code changes.

Usually though, your safest options are to either deploy on a MS Windows server, or use Sun Java System Active Server Pages: http://www.sun.com/software/chilisoft/

forum17, i've had success with classic asp and Apache::ASP. It's a perl program that uses mod_perl.

That is only for applications coded using Perl. Existing applications, the majority of which use VBscript, Javascript and compiled controls, will not work with Apache::ASP.
