assign IP to nameserver problem

I tried assigning an IP for ns1 and ns2 for a domain on the server.

Sorry, the nameserver ns1.domain.com already has the ip xx.xx.13.8 assigned to it.

Why is this happening? I've never heard of this happening before regardless if the domain is in fact setup with another host's IP addresses

I checked "Allow Sharing Nameserver Ips" in tweak settings and it still won't work

Try stopping the service, add the nameservers then re-start the service.

In tweak settings CHECK this box:

Disable whois lookups for the nameserver IP manager.

This will prevent authoritative lookups. You can then delete the dns IP and assign another.

You can also edit the file /etc/nameserverips directly to enter the Nameservers and their IPs.
