    Default Authentication token manipulation error

I got a very strange problem on my server.
Whenever a client tries to change it's password he get's the following problem:

    Changing password for user xxx.
    Changing password for xxxx
    (current) UNIX password:
    passwd: Authentication token manipulation error

Changing password from WHM or shell does work.
Someone got a solutin for this very strange and urgent problem?

This could be caused by a few things, one of them being an issue with the /etc/passwd or /etc/shadow having no entry of this user, or duplicate entries.

The username should match in both files.

It has already been fixed by the cpanel support department.
