cPanel recreates the config file for each host awstats displays statistics for every night.
A few customers are updating their sites quite frequently and want to be excluded from the statistics so we put in their IP in the skiphosts sections in awstats and then make the file immuteable.

This has been working for quite a while but with the latest versions of cPanel it seems that if the config file is unwriteable - it doesn't even read it but skips ahead to the next host (from what I can tell in the stats_log file).

Is there any way one can add custom configs to an awstats host conf without it being overwritten? Some kind of template file that cpanel uses when it recreates the conf file?
