AWSTATS just wont run

Heres the problem, and I am kind of frustrated - I cannot seem to get Awstats to run properly if at all. If I force an individual account update I can get stats generated for like that hour and that is it. Then they never update again and doesnt seem to hold the data any suggestions?

I am running
cPanel 11.24.7-E34209 - WHM 11.24.4 - X 3.9
CENTOS 5.2 i686 on standard

and have done many force rebuilds over the last month so that didnt fix it.
