Awstats and Webalizer have a 500 times difference in visits, whats going on?
Awstats and Webalizer have a 500 times difference in visits, whats going on?
Awstats says I had 15 visits yesterday
Webalizer says 3000, which is correct according to my google analytics.
Both Awstats and Webalizer show 90,000 hits
Why is Awstats only showing 15 visitors?
I am running Joomla on my site.
Has anyone noticed this problem with AW stats and/or Joomla?
In the past, I had a hosting provider that had massive issues with one of the stats programs. It was essentially counting every visitor recursively every day. So for the third day of the month, it would take its current total and also (incorrectly) add the visitors for the first, second and third days of the month. This would only happen for 1 of the 3 stats programs (in my case, Analog). This was due to a misconfiguration of the statistics software.
That sounds like it would show too many visitors though, this problem is its not showing enough.
