Default Back up to wrong root directory

I am trying to back up a website. The server was changed out, and the hosting company sent me a link to a back up file. I downloaded the backup file and then uploaded it to my cPanel using the backup tool. It said that all of the files were restored. The root directory that it said the were restored to was msgprofi/homedir/public_html/ but the root directory of the cPanel account is msgprofi/home2/public_html/... Is there a way that I can change the root directory in the back up file? I'm sure this can be done, as this is how sites are moved from one server to another, I just have never done this before, so am ignorant as to how it is done. Thank you for your help, it is much appreciated.

I think I may have come up with a solution. I found the back up files in the root directory in a file named the same as the backup file. I just need to move those over to the public_html directory.

Thank you to those that would have helped, it is still appreciated.

Okay, so I found the file in the root directory, but it has a bunch of stuff in it that I think should be installed in a directory that I don't have access too, directories that are lower than my access allows. I have done a search here, but I haven't found much that would apply to my situation. Please help?
