Backup creating empty archives.

Hey all.

I recently had to switch backup servers due to a failed piece of hardware. I created a user (cpanel) on the new backup server and changed the username and password under WHM. The first time it ran it created a daily directory in /home/cpanel/cpbackup/ and started uploading files. However, the files that it is uploading are all 0kb. Can anyone help. I am able to log in to the server via ftp with the username and pass and upload files myself, but WHM is having some issues doing this.
