Default Is this backup function possible?

I want to have 2 different backup configs that I will run on different accounts.

config 1: will backup weekly, and incremental

config 2: will backup every 2days, full backup

now that to do this, someone told me the idea of having a cron to move the cpbackup conf in and out. Would this be possible?

Also, I have some quesiton about the backup function.

1: What does backup retention apply to?
2: How does the whm backup function work on a remote server, does it tar the accounts and send it to the server under the given ftp login. Or does it copy all the files to the remote server?

    thanks

    Default

retention = keep the old archive cumulative for ____ days

Maybe you have to modify the /scripts/cpbackup

Copy to new one, modify and run by cron.
    You need perl programming knownledge.
