Backup method has changed ?

I backup my site every 2 days. In the backup file on 22/6 everything was ok, there was an mysql folder with one folder for database, and 3 files for every table. But since 24/6, just a big .sql file (mysql dump). How can I backup as what it did ? I imagine a way, that is ssh and do a hot copy, but it isn't comfortable.
