Backup problems

i need some help , some of my clients are with problems when try to backup is sites.
Some of then are saying that the backup is corrupted or not complete.
Can someone help me with this ??

How much space does their site take up, and how much free disk space is available for their account ? What are they opening the file with ? Are they just restoring it to another cpanel server or opening it on their home computers ?
