    Default Backup script failure

The backup script in cPanel keeps failing with the following message:

Can't call method "login" on an undefined value at /scripts/cpbackup line 417, <PWCACHEENT> line 29.

Any idea what this could be? I'd really appreciate an ability to back things up.

    I have this same problem.
Was working alright until last week.
Has anyone an idea for the solution?
    Thank you

try /scripts/upcp --force and see if things tune up.

I tried /scripts/upcp --force but it did not help. I made sure my username/password and host were all correctly typed in. I know it wasn't a load issue as it was the only thing really running at the time and I watched with top.

Alright, its all working. Apparently the account I was having it go to wasn't allowed FTP access, and I'm just a moron for not noticing it- although there could be some better failure notices.

At the same time, when backups fail, there should be an email or something. I was counting on backups that weren't happening, which is extremely unfortunate.
