Question Backup Script -- Ignoring certain file extensions?

I'm trying to figure out how to get the /scripts/cpbackup to ignore certain file extensions.. Has anyone done this or know how I might do this?

If you know perl you can always edit the cpbackup script and just save a copy of your changes to put back for the odd time when upcp undoes your changes.
