    Default bad message format

    This might not technically be an CPanel issue, but.

    I have recently received several messages that are valid on RedHat 9 but not valid on RedHat 7.3

    Neither Pine, IMAP nor POP are not able to read the messages.

    Is there a way I can get the server software updated to process these messages?

    I just upgraded to the latest STABLE release of CPanel.

    Default Mime::base64 problem ??

    Doing some research today I discovered a thread talking about a problem with Mime::Base64 on RedHat 7.3.

    So my question is, what all needs to be updated to use the newest version of Mime::Base64 on RedHat 7.3 ?

    Perl / CPAN says I have the latest Perl Mime::Base64 installed.

    What else needs to be updated?

    Thanks in advance :-)

    Default More confusing yet.

    It turns out that the mail file is indeed readable on RedHat 7.3.

    However...

    If the name of the file is "inbox" then Pine is unable to read it (and it appears that IMAP and others also fail).

    It reports the inbox as empty.

    If I rename the mail file to another name (ie., inbox.new, inbox.other, etc) then Pine is able to read the contents successfully.

    I checked the permissions, etc. It appears that the name of the file is causing some kind of problem.

    Any suggestions?
