Default Best way to transfer 14GB of files to another server?

I recently sold a site which is over 14GB in size with all the files and what not. What is the best way to transfer the site to the buyers server? They are using CPanel/WHM as well and have full root access.

Is that really the best way? The transfer via WHM doesn't seem to work to well. it created the account but didn't move any of the files but 14GB would take forever to create a backup of and then make them download it an then upload it to their server.

The best way is to tar, gzip the site. Then transfer it cross the servers using scp command.
