Bind-DLZ or other mysql bind offerings?????

I've spent the past few days trying to figure out a way to get one of the mysql/bind setups to work with cpanel. Has anyone successfully used bind-dlz on a cpanel server or should I ditch cpanel? We have a system in place where we need to be able to dynamically add new entries to our nameserver via our script. The easiest way to do this is via mysql. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

I doubt it would work since cPanel uses named.conf and the zone file database files directly.
