blocking anonymous ftp access

I am trying to block anonymous ftp access to my site. Now I know that I can just UNcheck the box, but the problem is this, the url that i have the option of blocking this access is ftp://mysite.com/tr. This does me no good, as just going the the parent url ftp://mysite.com lists bin, etc, lib, mail, and pub directories there for the whole world to see. Yes i have cleared my chache, and yes i can download from each of these folders. I have tried with three different browsers. How can I disallow this?

ProFTPD - edit the configs in /etc/proftpd.conf.

PureFTPD - edit in /etc/sysconfig/pure-ftpd.

Then restart ftp server.
