boxtrapper spam box auto-delete after x-days?

Cpanel currently lists this message under the spamassassin spam box:

SpamBox will deliver any emails identified as spam by SpamAssassin into a separate mail folder named "spam". This "spam" folder will fill up and should be emptied regularly.

A neat feature would be to have cpanel auto-delete messages in the spam box after x-days, so if someone called and said "I emailed you... didn't you get it... it must be your spam filters" you could check to be 100% sure, but so that you don't have to constantly manually empty it.

Does such a feature exist? Anyone else like to see this as a feature request?

This feature does not yet exist, so feel free to submit a feature request to http://bugzilla.cpanel.net and then link to your feature request here so others know to vote for it or add themselves as CC to it.

I second that as a client had his build up to the limit set on his account.

This should be a feature of spam assassin although as I believe as it's beyond the scope of the control panel.

But you can create a cron job to do it - just be careful with your rm command.
