    Default Browsers Can't Remember cPanel Passwords

    Hello,

    Prior to cPanel 11, Firefox could remember cPanel passwords on a per domain basis. So when accessing multiple cPanels in a row this would happen:

    domain1.com/cpanel --- browser prompts ---> username1 password1
    domain2.com/cpanel --- browser prompts ---> username2 password2
    domain3.com/cpanel --- browser prompts ---> username3 password3

    Now after cPanel 11, Firefox only remembers the username and password of the last cPanel accessed. If I'm in domain1.com/cPanel and try to switch to domain3.com/cpanel, firefox will simply return me to domain1.com/cPanel.

    This is extremely annoying because I manage MANY sites and am in different domains' cPanels often. I have to manually log-out from the current cPanel, open my password storage program, look up the correct domain's username and password then log-in. This is a lot of work compared to when Firefox was able to remember username/password for each domain.

    Could anyone tell me how to get Firefox to remember and prompt for the corresponding username/password for each domain?

    THANKS in advance!

    Peter

    I use Firefox in the same way to manage multiple cPanel accounts, and have not encountered a similar issue.

    However, when the login is being prompted for - what is the URL in the address bar? If the server is redirecting anything.com/cpanel to hostname:2082, that could explain the issue you are experiencing. This redirection behavior can be changed in WHM -> Server Configuration -> Tweak Settings -> Redirection.

    Thanks David!

    Redirection was set to "SSL Certificate Name" so I switched it to "Origin Domain Name" and now Firefox is able to match up passwords with domains. Of course I now get the SSL Certificate warning each time but thats far less of a nuisance. Thanks again!
