Default Bug in 11.26 WHM version display

Im not shure but there must be some bug. In WHM I see:
    WHM 11.26.8
CENTOS 5.5 x86_64 vmware on xxx

    but when I run "cat /usr/local/cpanel/version " I get:
    11.26.9-STABLE_48422

How can WHM and SSH report different versions? This is very frustrating because on Downloads - cPanel Inc. I see that there is some version and can't check if I have installed it or not so must use SSH to check...

Same here but on a dedicated server. In WHM it says WHM 11.26.8 and in cPanel: cPanel Version 11.26.9. Why is it different?

I have the same issue on a (AppLogic) VPS running CentOS5.
In "/usr/local/cpanel/version" the version is given as follows .....
    11.26.9-RELEASE_48422r

In the top right corner of WHM screen, it's given as WHM 11.26.8

Thinking there was a problem with the latest CP upgrade, I ran "/scripts/upcp --force". However, this made no difference.

    Me too shows WHM 11.26.8

CPanel should put better information, so we know which BUILD TYPE installed, i.e.:

    WHM STABLE-11.26.8
    WHM RELEASE-11.26.8

Because both Stable and Release type has same version: 11.26.8.

Also, I see CHANGELOG has 11.26.9 version but my WHM shows 11.26.8, where is the changelog for 11.26.8?

This is a bug in the product. The actual product version is 11.26.9. This will be fixed in the next 11.26 release.

I moved this posts into a different thread because they were off-topic.

Default Updated to 11.26.9 but shows 11.26.8 ins Stats bar

Yesterday I updated WHM to Release 11269 but in the bar at the top the version is shown as WHM 11.26.8. Anyone can tell me why? Thanks
