buildapache -- php compile error

What's exactly is this error:

make: *** [/home/cpapachebuild/buildapache/php-4.4.0/ext/java/php_java.jar] Error 1
make: *** Waiting for unfinished jobs....

php did not compile as it was not upgraded.
4.3.11 --> 4.4.0
Apache 1.3.33 --> 1.3.34
