Calculate bandwidth of /~user for Shared SSL & mod_userdir

I believe if you use mod_bandwidth you can have the bandwidth for that user (when their website is accessed via ~username) counted. However, I am unfamiliar with the technical details of how to make that happen.

This was posted in a thread in 2008, but the thread really isn't about that, or did it really tell us how to do it.

Does anybody have any information for me as to making this work? I want to provide shared ssl's and IP or FQDN /~username access, but with the amount of clients I have, that might mean alot of wasted bandwidth.

I don't want to limit bandwidth by using mod_bandwidth, but I do want to count /~user.

All I need to do is be able to calculate bandwidth per /~user, I don't really care if it adds it to the cPanel stats or whatever, as long as I have record of how much the userdir used, I'm fine with it.

Nobody's got any info on this? Figured someone would have had this put into cPanel a long time ago.
