As Izee said, when cPanel is installed it is well patched up to the O/S so a reinstall is the only option.

Have you setup all the dns properly? Nameservers, hostname etc.

Default no, no, ... and no

I'm having similar problems (undetermined, and numerous) related to what i suspect are erroneous settings in nameservers, DNS, and hostname.

is a reinstall the only option, and will it actually fix such issues?

immediately after the installation, I try and login to WHM and receive "Invalid Hostname. (This account is currently not available.). Hostnames may not contains spaces or tabs."

As the error itself indicates, you havent set the Hostname entry properly on your server. Login to server via ssh and set the correct hostname and reboot the server. The files are :-
    /etc/hosts
    /etc/sysconfig/network

Till you dont get your Hostname correct, you will keep receivng that bold hostname error in the browser. You dont have to re-install cpanel again.
