Cannot delete subdomain

I was too lazy to create a forum account so I used bugmenot :/

I cannot delete a subdomain. I made a mistake when naming the subdomain, so I corrected it with out deleting the mistake. That was a week ago. When I sshed into my account I noticed the wrong folder name and did rmdir. Today I noticed in CPanel that the bad subdomain name was still there. It will not remove. Here is a list of different attempts to remove.

1. Removed add on domain> parked it> unparked it> then tried to remove subdomain

2. mkdir the folder for the subdomain> add domain> removed domain> then tried to remove subdomain> parked it> unparked it> then tried to remove subdomain.

CPanel gives me the message that it did remove but it is still there listed in subdomains.

Removed Entry from httpd.conf The subdomain, subdmaim.com.domain.com has been removed.

Maybe the problem is the subdomain has a .com before the domain? That is why I am trying to delete it

Any ideas?

When you corrected the mis-spelling, how did you do this? Did you create a totally new subdomain? Did you manually modify all files that contained the wrong name?
