Default cannot generate SSL csr !!

    Hi everyone,

I've been looking for an answer on this and I can't find one! My problem is:

I am running WHM 10.1.0 cPanel 10.2.0-R82 Fedora i686 - WHM X v3.1.0. I want to generate a CSR so that I can obtain and install an SSL certificate from Registerfly.com.

When I generate the CSR and paste it into the regsiterfly interface, I get the error 'CSR - Field ''CSR'' is invalid.' I have seen some threads about this and I've been trying to generate the CSR without a password, but WHM says the password is too short. I also tried it with a password of 5 spaces and that didn't work either.

This is such a simple thing, I'm not sure where to turn next! Any ideas, anyone?

    thanks!
    Dave

    Dave,

The password shouldn't be an issue and the CSR's produced by WHM should be fine. Are you sure that you're copying the information correctly from WHM over to the SSL cert provider? You do have to be careful when doing this to include the start and end lines and to make sure that you don't have spaces or dubious linefeed characters at the end of each line.

    Hi Jonathan,

Well, I tried searching for any rouge spaces in the CSR. I also tried removing line feeds, etc. I included the begin/end of the CSR properly, I think.

So,I fooled around with it a bit and I think I'm doing it right, but maybe I'm not

    thanks, Dave

Have you read Registerfly's 'Common Installation Questions"?

"What does the error Invalid Field CSR mean" https://registerfly.com/kb/?mode=det...rticleid=16000

I had the same problem. Turns out it was in one of the field names they mention. Regenerated the CSR and it worked like a charm.
