Cannot login to WHM - HELP

Hi all,

My password from an earlier date is accepted when I log into my server ssh, but I have sinced changed it and was using the new password. I even changed the password, but it still will only accept my older password

Any suggestions?

maybe you can empty ur catche if you using IE. That might help had the same problem back then it was my IE fskcing around with me

What about your ssh... and when I did get in there were 2 users??? I am only authorized... I think I have a hacker.. please ppl any suggestions will help

Also I have rebooted the system, sure knock off of the user..

Raise Number 1: have Numbers and alpha create a password like this
eg: 3jj4nn31hn4j1h2341n2knk4mn, ihrjewni5n3k4n32nk6, etc
make it long......

Always do... I have changed the password several time but to no avail, I still can only login with that old password... Why?? and how can I fix this?

Are you logging in with one ID and SU'ing to root? If so, have you changed both passwords? Just a thought.

Yes. I changed my pass, and attempted to su it did not work, the old pass only, I then temporarily enabled root to try, but the old password still worked. I disabled root again, attempted to change yet again through WHM this time, and now I cannot login any where... I am trying to get support from EV1 now... hopefully they can help me regain control and login.
