Cool Can't access phpmyadmin using reseller with root privs

    Hi,

I have a few users created as resellers with root access activated in Reseller Center. Mainly for server administration purposes.

When i'm logged in with one of that users i cannot open phpmyadmin. Instead, the browser open a window to download file "index.php".

When i try to open phpmyadmin using cpanel and logged in with reseller password give me a permission denied error.

Logged in as root, i enter to WHM's phpmyadmin without problems and show all databases.

The same problem is in WHM 11.2.0 cPanel 11.10.0-R16448 and in WHM 11.2.0 cPanel 11.8.0-R16295 versions.

    Any ideas?

At this time, when a reseller is logged into cPanel as a reseller, if they try to access anything that requires you to actually be logged in as that user, you will encounter the permission denied message such as the one you received when trying to go to cPanel's phpMyAdmin. To manage a user's phpMyAdmin via cPanel you would need to login with their login credentials.

Or of course, you can login to the phpMyAdmin in WHM.

As for the server not interpreting the PHP properly - is that when you're logged in with the user's credentials or your reseller credentials? Is this via cPanel or WHM?

The error is happening when i'm logged in with one of the reseller credentials in WHM. (WHM -> SQL Services -> phpMyAdmin)

If i'm logged in as root in WHM i can open phpMyadmin on WHM without problems. The same link shows the issue when i'm using a reseller account.

Note that those resellers have activated root privileges in Reseller Center.

I'm having difficulty accessing phpMyAdmin via WHM as a root-level reseller (not root user) myself. I would recommend submitting a support request regarding this issue. It could be a server configuration issue, if not, this will provide our quality assurance staff the information they need to resolve any issues with our software.
