Cant add user to database

Hello guys,
I made a new database in mySQL then a new user and when i add that user to the database it asks for privilages then i tick on all privilages...then the message comes that the user is added to the database...there is a link for going back ..i click on that.. it returns me to the database page..
But it doesnt add the user to the database...i mean the user is not shown in association with the database.
i cant find out the problem .. can anyone help!!
i need it urgently as im losing customers....pls help!!!

You will need to check with your hosting provider so they could look up your error in the logs.

Can you try to create a second user and add that user to the same database?. Use a very simple name like "bob" and a simple password. Does either user now show up ?.

Are you using any unusual characters for the username, like spaces or punctuation.

It shouldnt be an issue but are you sure you have not exceeded the max databases for this user account ?
