Welcome to the Easy::Apache nightmare. It screwed up the configuration on my server, too, and we had to rebuild it outside of the cPanel environment to have it function. So far, I'm not terribly enamored with this method of building Apache. There are far too many defects in the process, and it can be catastrophic in a production environment.

    Peace,
    Gene

Sorry to hear you are having trouble. I might offer this advice:

Building it over and over will not help if the buiild is good everytime but its just not running how you want it configured,

Have you created a ticket so a tech can assist?

Also, have you configured PHP as it prompts you to afterward?

Easyapache 3 uses a new config system called Cpanel::AdvConfig.

How that works with httpd.conf is outlined here:

    http://cpanel.net//support/docs/ea/e...rstanding.html

    http://cpanel.net//support/docs/ea/ea3/faq_ea3.html

really, these are a bit of a misnomer as the URLs are under easyapache but in reality Cpanel::AdvConfig is the underlying tools to manage httpd.conf in ea3 as well as WHM, Cpanel, etc, so understanding it will help understand how to work with it, whether that is how its used during an easyapache build, or adding an account, etc.
