Smile Cant connect to WHM or cPanel after reboot

Hi, I just rebooted my server today. And I am not able to connect to WHM or cPanel ever since. I even tried reinstalling cPanel(just installed cPanel yesterday). My server is running FreeBSD 6.1. Can anyone tell How can I fix the problem?

    Thanks.

Are you sure the service is running?

make sure your fireall is not blocking the cpanel/whm ports.

And how do i do that?

Edit: I dont think any firewall is enabled. Otherwise i would have seen ipfilter_enabled="YES" or something similar in /etc/rc.conf . Right?

its still not working...During the cpanel installation process, i noticed a lot of error messages. Like ftpserver failed. please contact sysadmin or something like that. and many other failed messages.

Could that be the problem? Cpanel wasnt installed properly? But it worked the first time i installed it(Worked with IE. With firefox i got a file "octet-stream" or something). It stopped working ever since i rebooted the system.

Also when i try to manually start the cpanel service, i dont see the "OK" messages, there are just blank spaces where those messages should be. And when i try to check the status of the cpanel service (/etc/init.d/cpanel status) i get six lines saying "status: not found". Why do i see that?

My server is running FreeBSD 6.1
That's most likely your problem. cPanel isn't supported on that OS:

LOL! Chirpy, you need to look more carefully. It does support FreeBSD 6.1. Have a look for yourself.

Also I solved the WHM connect problem by running

    Code:
    /scripts/fixcommonproblems
    /scripts/upcp --force
But still there are loads of problems. Like FTP server is not installed, exim is not installed, etc etc. I get messages like "Ftp server is not installed. Exiting. at /scripts/RestartSrv.pm line 191." So i still have to solve those problems.

Right you are - my apologies, I hadn't checked the FreeBSD support versions for a while.
