    Default Can't edit php.ini

For some reason I can't edit my /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/etc/php.ini

There's a setting in there that is screwing with fantastico, and I need to remove. I can read the file just fine. However I can't chmod it or write to it. Shutting down httpd doesn't do it.

    -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 23K Apr 19 12:54 php.ini

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    Thanks!

I logged into the box as root and still cannot edit it.
    How is that possible?

Granted I'm no linux expert, but I didn't know there were things that even root couldn't touch.

I just need to remove shell_exec from disable_functions cause it's screwing up fantastico.

    chattr -i /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/etc/php.ini

    After editing re-protect:
    chattr +i /usr/local/cpanel/3rdparty/etc/php.ini

(or the next cpanel update will break Fantastico)
