Edit: /etc/valiases/domain.com
Add: user@domain.com: "|/path/to/perl/script/file.pl"

I am just a user on a shared server is this something the admin has to do I do not have that folder on my cpanel?

You can do it if you have shell access. If not, email support and ask them to pipe mail to x user into x script.

One last question can I pipe the default email address and if I can will it only send the emails to the script or will I receive a copy also?

You can pipe email to a script via the default address no problem. You won't receive a copy unless you add ",user@domain.com" after the pipe info.

You don't need ssh access. You can set it up through cpanel. Just setup a fowarder to |/path/to/perl/script/file.pl and it'll be piped fine

I tried that with a .forward file and putting it into a forwarder in the cpanel UI but with no luck? When I first set up my account I did not have an etc folder in my username folder. I talked with my hosting provider and they were looking into it. Now an etc folder has showed up but I noticed that I do not have an vfilters folder under it? Could this be the problem? They are using cPanel Build 7.4.2-RELEASE 81.
