Default Can't install FP extensions / change folder permissions

I don't know if these are related. When trying to install frontpage extensions on an account this is returned:

    Error: Cannot create folder "_private".

Checking the folders I see that public_html has permissions 750 but when I try to change it to 755 it switches back to 750.
Does anybody know what might be wrong here?

    Thanks
    John

    Default Having Same Problem

I am having the same problem on several servers. It seems to be a problem with the fpexe binary porting or something to do with the mod_passthrough. We are also unable to even get FP to publish to these sites, no errors in the log, no login box appears when trying to connect.

I am having similar problems which all started after using easyapache to do the apache upgrade.

All my clients have lost the ability to publish via frontpage or connect to their sites.

    Error: Cannot create folder "_private".
Check whether the user has exceeded his disk quota
