Default Cant switch to unique shared IP

    Hi,

A customer of mine has a reseller account and all of the accounts are currently set to the main shared IP of the box. He purchased an IP address and I set it as the default shared IP for his accounts. Then when I switched all his existing accounts to the new IP, all of the sites came up as one of the sites. It was like one of the sites was set to a dedicated IP and all the other sites just went to that one site. I tried it multiple times and can't see what's wrong.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,

    Neofree

It doesn't sound like all the accounts switched to the unique IP. Check httpd.conf make sure they are all listed with new IP, than check the zone records make sure they list the same IP.

Can't say i've ever had this problem.

WHM messes the httpd.conf file when u switched from name based to IP based hosting. I have faced it twice and had to correct the same in httpd.conf for the same. I am sure it would mess up again if a try to switch another account from name based to dedicated IP. If i remeber correctly, it messes up the DocumentRoot for the said <VirtualHost>

Chk your httpd.conf and rectify the same there... for the said <VirtualHost>
