Can't upload via ftp

After giving up my server at rackshack, I moved to servint and am very happy with them.

A problem I can't figure out is, using wsftp-pro I can upload files but I can't download files

I'm using pure-ftpd and see the following in wsftp:

450 Error during write to data connection: Invalid argument
transferred 0 bytes in 0.016 seconds, 0.000 bps ( 0.000 Bps), transfer failed.
Transfer request completed with status: Failed, 1 SubItem(s) failed
