How is the support for 64bit centOS and cpanel? I've read horror stories, has anyone been successfully using it so far without any issues?

Is there a decent performance boost over 32 bit?

Working fine. Had some little issues with ASSP deluxe which were resolved.
Can we get a little feedback from cpanel team maybe on how "stable" the 64bit version is and if it's ready for production servers, I know it's stable but how many issues do they get with it on a daily basis?
I read about several kernel crashing etc.

Why aren't more people using 64bit if it's in stable condition ?

Are there any complications when migrating from 32 bit to 64 bit? Restoring full cpanel backups?

WireNine I would love to hear the replyI am thinking of making the transition fairly shortly.
I think I am going to wait until cPanel 11 before putting 64 bit cpanel on any of the servers, should be available by next week![]()

Hello All,
Are there any known cPanel issues with CentOS 4 x64 running within a VPS?
I'm currently running Virtuozzo and Hspcomplete. I've set up some test vps accounts but CentOS 4 is the only OS we offer that cpanel supports.
As I write this post, cPanel has been installing now for over an hour. I've see html pass by the shell, various files or directories not found, and so on.
Has anyone else gotten this installed without a problem? It seems that there is no cpanel template for virtuozzo or hspcomplete yet.
Thanks,
Chris
