cgi/php scripts slow

I'm having a problem with cgi scripts and php scripts being slow, they seem to hang a bit and not load for a few seconds. The server load is fine, and other normal functions on the server are fine and sites not using php or cgi are loading fast. What can I do to speed up php and cgi scripts or what is somethings to look for to speed them up a bit? Thanks!

Two things you could install to help speed up scripts on your machine:

- Install Zend Optimizer
- Install a PHP Cache (eAccelerator / Previously Turck MMCache)

Zend is already installed and I dont know if running eaccelerator and zend together is good or if it would even make a difference with Zend already installed.

Scripts work but just seem to hang a little bit more than usual but the servers used resources is always low.

eAccellerator and Zend together is a great combination when used as a zend extension. You will see a very noticable speed increase with eAccellerator installed. In all honesty Zend doesnt really speed up anything.
