Question CGI-scripts not found from cgi-sys

I have read several times in this forum that in order to run customized cgi-scripts, one has to place them in the cgi-bin folder and call them from the preceding html-page at location http://domainname/cgi-sys.

I have tried several times and it does not work: file not found error.

After several tests, I finally rewrote the commandline in the html-pgae to call the script not from cgi-sys (apparently mandatory), but to call it from cgi-bin and now it works as it should !!

Any comments ??

GOT is on a distinguished road
You USED to access them via http://domain.com/cgi-sys

It changed a couple of months ago. Now when you visit the scripts area of the control panel, the contents of cgi-sys are copied to the users cgi-bin directory and they are access through http://domain.com/cgi-bin.

checked my manualw WHM and cPanel6 and found they were v7 and i am running v8 now - but also all entries i found in forum are referring back to cgi-sys and NOT to cgi-bin.

anyway, thanks for the reconfirmation of my own findings.
